A (hopefully) brief delay from the regular content on this blog - my main account @pi-slices (pislices.ca) has been mistakenly terminated from Tumblr for the second time in 6 months.

I’m posting here on the off chance that someone from the Tumblr @staff follows this blog / sees this post. Yet again - my Tumblr account where I only post 3D animated GIF artwork has been mistakenly terminated. My blog has been on Tumblr’s staff picks / radar more than 20 times, which would make it seem like Tumblr has no issue with the content that I create / post, but perhaps not… 

It has been over 24 hours since this termination, which has led to my first day being unable to post my daily GIF on Tumblr since the creation of my blog over 2100 days ago.

The last time this happened, my blog was unbanned in around 6 hours, but this time I am not so lucky. This has also been happening to a number of other GIF artists, including @xponentialdesign (around the time of my first accidental termination 6 months ago) and @shonk (at the end of December 2019). A brief look through the twitter mentions of @tumblrsupport reveals that this has been happening to quite a few other people as well.

If you are an artist on Tumblr, I encourage you to back up the content on your blog, as it can very easily disappear with no notice overnight.

In the meantime before my blog is hopefully restored - you can keep up with my daily artwork on Instagram or Twitter.
